About RepairAppliance.org
An independent appliance repair reference for the US and Canada. No manufacturer affiliation, no paid rankings.
What we cover
Seven repair categories — dryer, freezer, oven, stove and cooktop, range (cooktop plus oven), washer, and washer-dryer combo — plus brand hubs and part explanations. Each guide is written around the test order a technician would use: verify the symptom, test the circuit, then replace the part.
Editorial policy
- Repair guidance is written from service practice and manufacturer-published specifications, not copied from competitor pages.
- We do not publish fabricated reviews, ratings, technician counts or "average price" figures.
- Brand ownership and platform-sharing statements are factual and limited to what affects parts fitment.
- Part recommendations are based on fitment and failure rate, never on commercial relationships.
- Gas, refrigerant and 240 V work is described so you can recognize it, not so you can bypass a licensed technician.
